Reading Specialization, Master of Arts (M.A.):

Kean University’s Reading Specialization M.A. prepares educators to deliver evidence‑based literacy instruction grounded in the Science of Reading, conduct diagnostic assessments, and provide targeted interventions for diverse learners. Graduates gain supervised clinical experience and develop the leadership skills needed to coach colleagues and guide schoolwide literacy initiatives. The program also leads to New Jersey Reading Specialist certification.

Special Education - Applied Behavior Analysis and Autism Spectrum Disorders (M.A.):

Beginning Fall 2026, Kean University's Special Education - Applied Behavior Analysis and Autism Spectrum Disorders (M.A.) program will shift to a fully online program, combining live Zoom learning with flexible weekly modules! Students complete a 315‑hour course sequence that meets BACB Pathway 2 requirements and prepares them for impactful careers in the rapidly growing field of applied behavior analysis.
