Welcome from Dean Jin Wang, Ph.D.
Welcome to the Kean University College of Business and Public Management, a place of learning, growth and opportunity for our students.
In the midst of these very challenging times, we each do best by staying true to our strengths and our purpose. At the College of Business and Public Management we have a long history of providing great educational opportunities to our students through relevant courses and highly qualified faculty.
Today that means ensuring that our courses are delivered in ways that are both effective and safe. During the fall semester, we delivered all of our courses remotely. This spring, some of our seniors are returning to face-to-face instruction and our new Cisco Immersive Technology classrooms provide the flexibility of having on-site students engage in the same class with students connecting remotely.
We look forward to returning to face-to-face class meetings in the fall and will continue to adjust our course delivery methods as safety protocols allow. Rest assured that we are committed to providing the high quality instruction and courses that ensure our students can continue to move forward toward graduation and successful careers.
Winston Churchill is credited with saying that one should never let a good crisis go to waste. This season has stretched each of us in unique ways and opened new opportunities in education accessibility as well as business. I encourage you to review our programs and decide how completing your degree at Kean University will open new doors as we all look forward to the post-pandemic world.
In fall 2020, we opened the new home of the College of Business and Public Management, Hynes Hall. The 90,000 square feet facility has everything that you need to succeed as a leader of tomorrow, including a “Bloomberg room” where students will work on the Bloomberg business intelligence software and a virtual “library in the sky”, plenty of student gathering space, and classrooms with state-of-the-art immersive technology that integrate classroom and remote learners. Add to that, a rooftop deck with a view of New York City, I think you will agree the College of Business and Public Management is a place where you can make your professional career aspirations into reality.
