Transfer Transitions
GE 3000, Transfer Transitions is a one-credit course required for graduation for all transfer students entering with 30 or more credits. The course helps students transition to Kean University both academically and socially while building the skills needed for success in their intended majors.
Student Learning Outcome (SLO): Written Communication
Upon successful completion of the course, students will demonstrate effective written communication skills. The course emphasizes writing and research while supporting students in developing clear, organized, and purposeful written work appropriate for academic and professional contexts.
The course focuses on academic planning and expectations, writing, research, and career exploration and planning.
Transfer students entering with 29 credits or fewer are required to complete GE 1000, Transition to Kean, as a graduation requirement.
