Transfer Orientation
Winter 2021 Transfer Student Orientation Overview
Join the Kean community! We’ve planned a fun-filled and academically focused Winter Orientation for our new transfer students.
Incoming transfer students are required to attend this important virtual orientation event. The virtual orientation will equip you with all of the necessary tools for a successful first year at Kean University while helping you find out about campus support services and hearing about transfer life from a panel of current transfer students.
The virtual Spring 2021 orientation for new transfer students was on Wednesday January 13, 2021. Sign-up has closed. If you are a new Spring 2021 student interested in learning more about orientation, please email nso@kean.edu.
Please note that participation in Orientation is mandatory for all new students.
- If you require accessibility accommodations, notify the Office of Accessibility Services two weeks prior to your orientation session.
Students will also automatically be enrolled in a Blackboard class following Transfer Student Orientation which will provide them with videos from the day’s program to use as an at-will resource. This course will also have a resource folder with everything that a Kean student might need to know to succeed during their first semester.
If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to the Orientation Staff at nso@kean.edu.
Accessibility Services
Accessibility Services is here to provide assistance and accommodations for all students with physical, medical, learning, emotional and/or psychological documented disabilities both temporary and permanent. Any student requiring an accommodation due to a disability needs to contact the Office of Accessibility Services two weeks prior to their selected NSO session. Office of Accessibility Services can be reached at (908) 737-4910 or disabilityservices@kean.edu.
