Academic Coaching
Academic Coaching is a student-centered support service that helps learners develop the skills, habits, and strategies necessary for academic and personal success. Unlike tutoring, which focuses on content mastery, academic coaching focuses on how students learn. Coaches work one-on-one with students to set goals, manage time effectively, improve study habits, build motivation, and address challenges such as procrastination or test anxiety.
Key Areas of Support Include:
-
Time management and organization
-
Goal setting and academic planning
-
Study strategies and test preparation
-
Motivation and self-regulation
-
Managing stress and academic mindset
Skill-building workshops on the topics above are offered throughout the semester, often in collaboration with faculty or student success programs. Workshops are typically offered at the beginning, midpoint, and end of the semester, with focused sessions before midterms and finals.
