Conditions We Serve
We plan to collaborate with individuals with a wide range of conditions impacting movement, energy, and brain function.
All individualized treatment services and direct occupational therapy take place through the Kean Cares Clinic.
The following conditions and populations we plan to integrate in our research initiatives and community engagement are as follows:
Parkinson’s Disease
- Challenges with balance, gait, tremors, and functional mobility
- Physical activity engagement is important for disease management (Trinh et al, 2025)
Stroke & Higher-Level Brain Injury
- Includes concussions, post-concussion syndrome, and mild TBI
Chronic Medical Conditions
- Long COVID, Dysautonomia, and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
Older Adults
- Physical activity education focused on supporting functional independence, engagement, preventing falls, and healthy aging
Pediatrics
- Children with movement disorders or developmental challenges
- Programs focused on building confidence, motor skill development, and active play
What We Offer
The lab provides education to the broader community and conducts research-based programs that support healthy living across the lifespan.

All data collected through our initiatives go through the university's IRB-approval process and are used for research purposes.
