Kean University

After graduate school I practiced accounting with one of the then Big 8 Accounting firms Coopers and Lybrand, now Price Waterhouse Coopers in New York City.

My military service includes active duty in the US Army with the rank of Captain. One of my assignments was as Adjutant of the 4th Squadron of the 7th United States Cavalry. (General George Armstrong Custer once commanded this unit.)

After military service and prior to joining the faculty at Kean University (then Kean College)  I practiced law in Westfield and Hackettstown and served as Township attorney for Liberty Township (Warren County). I also was the Planning Board Attorney for Stanhope Boro (Sussex County).

At Kean, I became a founding member of the Accounting Department and wrote the Program Document that led to the granting of the B.S. in Accounting degree. Later I co-wrote the Program Document that established the M.S. in Accounting. I served as Chairman of the Department of Management Science, which at the time was the largest department in the University, and later as Chairman of the Department of Accounting and Coordinator for the M.S. in Accounting.

I directed the Kean University School of Real Estate and was elected eight times as Treasurer of the Kean Federation of Teachers.
