Areas of Expertise

Communication --  public speaking and interpersonal communication with a focus on listening, emotional intelligence, and leadership.

In addition to teaching at KU for the past 20 years, I am a communication coach (President, Be Compelling!) and am on the board of directors of the International Listening Association (ILA).  I am a recipient of the International Listening Association's Educator of the Year and President's Awards.  I am also a recipient of KU's QFI award.
