"Adding Latin American Studies to your academic portfolio will show potential collaborators your abilities to cross Cultures, Languages. and Perspectives--all skills in high demand." - Gregory Shepherd Ph.D. Associate Professor Coordinator of World Languages
"My Latin American Studies minor at Kean provided me with a deep cultural foundation that goes far beyond language and geography, allowing me to bring a rich, authentic perspective to my students every day. I’m currently teaching Middle School Spanish, and I find myself using the insights from my LAS minor every single day. It gave me the tools to teach my students that Spanish is so much more than just grammar and maps; it's a doorway into a beautiful, complex culture." - Lanny Morales, Kean Alumni
