Kean University and internationally acclaimed bassist/producer Mike Griot present the second annual Jazz & Roots Music Festival, a free outdoor music event open to the public from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on The Lawn at Enlow Hall in Hillside.

Pack a picnic basket — or visit the food trucks when you get here — and bring a blanket or chair to the second annual Jazz & Roots Music Festival, a free outdoor music festival from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on The Lawn at Enlow Hall in Hillside, N.J.

Five-time Grammy winner DIANNE REEVES is the preeminent jazz vocalist in the world. As a result of her breathtaking virtuosity, improvisational prowess, and unique jazz and R&B stylings, Reeves received the Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal Performance for three consecutive recordings – a Grammy first in any vocal category.

Featured in George Clooney's six-time Academy Award nominated Good Night, and Good Luck, Reeves won the Best Jazz Vocal Grammy for the film's soundtrack. And in 2018, she was designated a Jazzmaster — the highest honor the U.S. bestows on jazz artists.
