NJUMA Leadership
The New Jersey Urban Mayors Association transitioned its leadership when Plainfield Mayor Adrian O. Mapp was installed as President of the Association on December 1, 2023 by the outgoing NJUMA president, Newark Mayor Ras J. Baraka. In addition to President Mapp, new officers were installed at the NJUMA’s Urban Mayors Policy Retreat. The new officers represent diversity for the Association, in terms of ethnicity, gender, geography and knowledge of statewide policy issues that impact New Jersey’s urban municipalities.
