Kean University Alumnus Advances Neonatal Brain Research

Inspired by a love of science and discovery that took shape when he was a student at Kean, neonatal neurologist Dr. Youssef Kousa is advancing research into how viral infections can cause brain injury before birth. He is collaborating with Kean researchers and using the University’s advanced technology and scientific expertise to better understand how these injuries occur and ultimately help protect every child’s potential.
