Kean University’s T. Itunu Balogun Named a 2025 NJBIZ Forty Under 40 Honoree

Kean University Vice President of Innovation and Engagement and Deputy Chief of Staff T. Itunu Balogun has been named a 2025 NJBIZ Forty Under 40 Honoree, recognizing her outstanding professional achievements and contributions to New Jersey’s business community.
“We are incredibly proud of Itunu for this well-deserved honor,” said Kean President Lamont O. Repollet, Ed.D. “Her work reflects the excellence, innovation and public impact that define Kean, and she stands as a shining example of the talented professionals who advance our mission every day.”
The NJBIZ Forty Under 40 program recognizes professionals under the age of 40 who are making their mark on New Jersey’s business landscape. These trailblazers and changemakers are driving innovation, building strong communities and setting the pace for the state’s economic future across a wide range of industries.
Balogun, who joined Kean University in 2020 after working at the New Jersey Department of Education, received her master’s degree in public administration from Rutgers University and her bachelor’s degree in theater management/Africana studies from New York University. She is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Southern California.
“Being recognized among New Jersey’s emerging leaders is an incredible honor,” she said. “I am proud to represent Kean and grateful for the opportunity to do work that has a meaningful and lasting impact on our students and the communities we serve.”
Balogun will be recognized during the 2025 NJBIZ Forty Under 40 awards ceremony on Thursday, October 30.
