Kean University released a new website this month that is designed to better showcase the University’s research and online learning to prospective students and others while also improving the digital experience for mobile users.

The newly redesigned Kean.edu represents the first major overhaul of the website since before the global pandemic. The new site is designed to have a mobile-first design as more than half of the site’s users now access it through their mobile devices.

“Millions of prospective students and others are drawn to Kean.edu, the University’s digital front door, every year,” said Karen Smith, vice president for university relations and alumni affairs. “It is critical that the site showcase Kean’s role as the state’s urban research university as well as the many ways that prospective students can climb higher at Kean.”

Under the redesign, the core pages of the site – from the homepage to the Kean Online, Academics, About, Student Life and Admissions & Aid pages – were overhauled. A new Research page now highlights many research projects at Kean.

Many new website elements that were added to those pages will now be incorporated elsewhere in the site so kean.edu will continue to evolve in the coming months.
