Mother Teresa: Road to Sainthood

Mother Teresa became a Saint of the Roman Catholic Church on September 4, 2016, nearly 20 years after her death.  Kean University professor Christopher Bellitto, Ph.D., is featured in a new CNN International documentary chronicling her journey to canonization.

The new half-hour television special Mother Teresa: Road to Sainthood explores the at times controversial figure from her early life in Skopje, Macedonia to her ascension as a saint. CNN interviewed those closest to Mother Teresa, including the beneficiaries of her purported miracles, a confidant in Kolkata, and the priest who led her case for canonization. Bellitto, a renowned church scholar and papal expert, shared his insights into her life and the canonization process with CNN. Visit cnn.com to learn more.
