Works by renowned local and national artists available to browse or buy

UNION, NJ –– The Kean University Foundation will host their inaugural Kean Art Walk on Saturday, October 1, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Visitor’s Circle at Kean University, 1000 Morris Ave. Kean Art Walk brings together artists, art enthusiasts, families, art lovers and browsers for an enjoyable, affordable and educational autumn art fair. Admission is free and open to the public.

“Kean Art Walk will feature art, photography, jewelry, pottery, sculptures, textiles and other treasures curated from a select group of local and national artisans,” said Christine Demarco, Senior Advancement Officer for the Kean University Foundation. “Unique artistic finds to adorn your home or to give as gifts will be available for sale.”

Among the more than 20 artists who will exhibit their works is Kean University alumnus Mark Romanoski ’92, who will display his painting commemorating the 15th anniversary of 9/11/01 as well as a varied selection of posters and artwork. Romanoski’s clients have included Harry Potter, The World Wrestling Federation, and Magic the Gathering.

While all monies from the sale of the art will remain with the artists, net proceeds from Kean Art Walk will benefit the arts and student-artists at Kean University.

Visitors to Kean Kean Art Walk will also be able to purchase food, play carnival games and catch a Cougar football game at the Kean Homecoming festivities taking place on campus that day.
