Services Offered
The Kean University Veteran Student Services Office is proud to assist its veteran students in the following areas:
Admission
- Assisting veteran students in the admission process as freshmen, transfer or graduate students
- According to the Principles of Excellence as stated in Executive Order 13607: Kean University does not, and has never, conducted fraudulent or aggressive recruiting on or off military installations or in any other venue, nor do we misrepresent ourselves, our programs or our mission. We do not pay incentive compensation to anyone for recruiting actions. We meet all state authorization requirements consistent with those issued by the Department of Education.
Advising
- Ensuring that veteran students understand and have knowledge of their respective chapters
- Providing information to veteran students during their transfer to Kean University
- Ensuring dependents understand VA policies
- Referring veteran students to various departments on the campus for any needed assistance
Employment
- Information on job/career fairs and other job opportunities
- Résumé preparation services
- Interview training services
Recruitment
- Attending any veterans affairs partners with ROTC
- Developing advertisement
- Visiting community colleges
- Assisting prospective students throughout the admission process
- Working with faculty and staff on joint recruitment efforts
Tuition
- Veterans will receive a deferment on their account until certified for benefits and monies received

- Kean V.E.T.S observes the NJ TEAM Act regarding in state tuition for Veterans, NJ TEAM Act
