Fourth Kean University Faculty Research Conference
Climbing Higher Together: Building and Sharing Impactful Faculty Research
Dear Colleagues,
We’re pleased to invite all Kean faculty, academic leadership, staff, fellows, and adjunct faculty to participate in the Fourth Kean University Faculty Research Conference to be held on May 8, 2026.
As New Jersey’s first urban research university and an R2 institution, Kean remains anchored in our communities while advancing research, global collaborations, and scholarship with critical impact. We welcome submissions from all departments and colleges, inviting both individual and collaborative projects that highlight the breadth and depth of Kean’s scholarly and creative contributions.
The conference will feature paper presentations, fireside chats, and an exhibition to foster interdisciplinary exchange and provide fresh perspectives to strengthen our shared work.
Below are some examples of types of presentations:
- A recently completed artistic output that can be showcased and explained in a manner that teaches pertinent concepts and techniques.
- A research project in progress or accepted at a regional, national or international conference, offering the faculty the opportunity to discuss their project in preparation for the upcoming conference presentation.
-
A recently or soon-to-be published research project, highlighting key insights and potential future research directions.
The registration link will be available soon.
Paper Presentation Format
Presentations will be 15 minutes, followed by a short Q&A.
A 300-word abstract (for traditional research papers) or synopsis of creative scholarship (i.e., works of art, including performing, visual, or literary arts), according to your discipline.
We look forward to the unique insights and experiences you bring to this year’s conference, as we continue climbing higher while anchoring down together.
