Launch Your Career with the Braven Career Accelerator at Kean
What Is Braven?
Launching in Fall 2026, the Braven Career Accelerator is a 3-credit course that prepares Kean students for the job market or graduate school through online learning, hands-on assignments and weekly small-group mentorship. Designed for sophomores, juniors, and transfer students, the course helps enrolled students, known as Braven Fellows, build confidence, career readiness and professional connections.
During the Braven Career Accelerator, you will:
- Build a professional portfolio, including a résumé, LinkedIn profile and cover letter
- Learn in small cohorts led by a Leadership Coach who facilitates discussion, provides feedback and supports your leadership development
- Collaborate on a real-world capstone challenge, solving an employer-posed problem while building teamwork, critical thinking and presentation skills
- Practice interview skills through mock interviews with professionals from partner organizations
- Earn 3 credits that count toward graduation
Build Skills and Connections for Your Future Career
Participating in the Braven Career Accelerator means joining a national network of more than 17,000 Braven Fellows. You will build professional connections, learn alongside a supportive peer community and engage with Braven Career Communities aligned with your interests.
These career communities are industry-focused pathways that offer targeted learning experiences, access to resources and mentorship. They help you explore career options and prepare for your first job after graduation.
