Communications and Marketing
The Communications and Marketing office within the Division of Student Affairs is responsible for the development, implementation, and execution of division-wide, strategic marketing and communications plans that support the university mission and student success initiatives.
The Communications and Marketing office coordinates the division’s student publications, which include:
- The Cougar’s Byte student newsletter
- Memorabilia student yearbook
- Student Handbook
The Cougar’s Byte is a Student Affairs newsletter where students, faculty and staff will find information on all things related to student life at Kean University. The Cougar’s Byte covers campus events and issues of interest and significance to the Kean community. Students assist with making all decisions related to its publication, including making assignments, reporting, writing, taking photographs, copyediting, designing pages and distributing content throughout the campus community.

Positions within The Cougar's Byte team include:
- Staff Writer

The Cougar's Byte team must maintain a flexible schedule to conduct interviews, cover events, take photos at events, and record events that may occur in the evening and on weekends.
