John Tang, Ph.D., has a firm background in traditional practices of chemical engineering. In addition, he looks for contemporary applications with high impact across various fields where the implementation of engineering principles can be used. His education is rooted in membrane and separation sciences which includes investigating surface interactions of solids, liquids and vapor phases empirically and via thermodynamic calculations. Expanding his horizons, Tang has pursued research in physics as well as pharmaceutical product development. Academic opportunities have allowed Tang to collaborate with several organizations such as Millipore, US Bureau of Reclamation and NASA. Currently, his interests include sustainability, environmental engineering, and green technologies.
