Minor in Arts Entrepreneurship
The Arts Entrepreneurship Minor at Kean University is a 15-credit interdisciplinary program that equips creative students with the entrepreneurial mindset and practical skills needed to thrive in today’s cultural and creative industries. Blending business strategy with artistic innovation, the program helps students transform ideas into sustainable projects, ventures, and professional pathways.
Students explore creative strategy, branding, project development, and the business of the arts, gaining insight into how artists and cultural organizations operate within the broader creative economy. Through hands-on learning—such as pitching concepts, developing portfolios, and launching arts-centered initiatives—students build real-world experience that prepares them to lead, innovate, and succeed across artistic fields.
Art is more than expression; it’s a powerful lens for understanding markets, communities, and social change. Whether you see yourself as an artist, a business leader, or something in between, this program equips you to turn ideas into meaningful ventures. I encourage all students to consider how this minor can expand your creative confidence and entrepreneurial mindset here at Kean."
