- This is a comprehensive guide with all the need-to-know information for your employment at Kean University. We recommended you review this prior to orientation
New Employee Orientation Dates
We highly recommend joining one of these sessions (both sessions are the same – just offered on different dates/times) for in depth information about onboarding steps, time and attendance, payroll and general information about Kean University
- Monday, June 15 from 10 am – 11:30 am Register for this session
Please note: if you do not have a laptop or office to join, this session only, will be live streamed in the Margaret Williams Theatre in Hepburn Hall.
- Tuesday, June 16 from 1 pm – 2:30 pm Register for this session
Sessions will be held on Zoom, and you will receive the Zoom meeting link upon registration
Mandatory In Person I-9 Verification
Please note that you are required to complete an in person I-9 Verification to complete your onboarding steps.
The Office of Human Resources – NJCU location will be available for in person I-9 verification during normal business hours Monday through Thursday starting June 8 and continuing through June 29, from 8:30 am - 5:30 pm.
Additionally Kean HR staff will be at the NJCU location on the following days:

Thursday, June 18: 9:30 am - 12:30 pm; 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm
Tuesday, June 23: 9:30 am - 12:30 pm; 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm
Kean’s HR Location will also be open for ongoing visits for I-9 verification –

Wednesday, June 17 through Monday, June 29: 8:30 am - 5:30 pm

New Employee Benefits Overview Session
We highly recommend you join one of the following sessions to learn more about your benefits that are staying the same, changing, and new benefits that will be offered to you in this transition.
- Thursday, June 25 from 10 am – 11:30 am Register for this session
- Thursday, June 25 from 1 pm – 2:30 pm Register for this session
Sessions will be held virtually, and you will receive the meeting link upon registration.
Additional in-depth sessions hosted by our Supplemental Benefits Vendors will be hosted during the month of July. These sessions will include a benefit overview and a Q&A session.
