Kean University welcomed approximately 23,000 students across its New Jersey and international locations for Fall 2026, marking record enrollment following its merger with New Jersey City University and the launch of Kean Jersey City. The university also received more than 23,500 applications, with students representing 41 states and 83 countries.

Kean University graduate Patricia (Patt) Dennis ’21 M.A., has been named a Fulbright Scholar and will spend seven months in South Africa partnering with the University of Pretoria to help school libraries develop innovative, experiential learning programs. Inspired by Kean professor Mia Zamora, Ph.D., Dennis has built a career centered on creative education and school librarianship, and will also begin serving this summer as director of the School Library Media Specialist program at William Paterson University.
