Kean Partners with County Colleges on Pathway to Kean Program

Kean University launched a new dual admission program called Pathway to Kean that gives students who don’t initially meet University admissions standards a clear path toward earning a bachelor’s degree. The initiative increases accessibility for an affordable four-year college degree in New Jersey.

Kean Celebrates Nearly 4,000 Graduates in Virtual Commencement

The first Kean University class to graduate in a virtual Commencement celebrated in a ceremony complete with a tassel turn, personalized videos and speeches from special guests including Whoopi Goldberg. Nearly 4,000 undergraduate and graduate students earning degrees in dozens of fields marked the joyous day in living rooms, backyards and chat rooms during the online event.

Lamont Repollet, Ed.D., was selected as the 18th leader of Kean University by the Kean Board of Trustees on May 11, 2020 following a comprehensive national search. He will succeed Dawood Farahi, Ph.D., who has served in the role since 2003.

Lamont Repollet, Ed.D., Named President of Kean University

Lamont Repollet, Ed.D., the New Jersey Commissioner of Education and a Kean alumnus, will become the 18th leader of Kean University. The Board of Trustees announced the appointment on Monday, May 11, following a unanimous vote in support of the thoughtful and charismatic educator.
