Kean’s new Vice President for Enrollment Services La Toro Yates, Ph.D., joined the University last month. A New Jersey native, he began his higher education career as an admissions counselor at St. Peter’s College in Jersey City, where he earned his undergraduate degree.
Kean University is expanding career development opportunities for students through a new initiative, the Cougar Career Collaborative, designed to strengthen partnerships between the University and employers.
Kean University’s Center for Africana Studies recently hosted the New Jersey Coalition of Africana Studies Summit, a landmark event that launched a new statewide initiative to expand and enhance African American studies in higher education.
