Exercise Science (M.S.), October 20, 2021 @ 6:30 p.m.
Professionals in exercise science work to help people live healthier lives. The program provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to function as exercise physiologists, clinical exercise physiologists, exercise oncologists, exercise specialists, sports performance coaches, strength coaches, health fitness specialists and personal trainers.
Biotechnology Science (M.S.), October 26, 2021 @ 6:30 p.m.
Modern biotechnology is providing breakthroughs that are helping fight diseases, reduce carbon footprints and feed the hungry. Here at Kean we focus on immersing you immediately into the research labs environments to learn the latest high-tech skills that prepare you to go directly into the job market or study for a PhD.
Business Administration (MBA) and Accounting (M.S.), October 28, 2021 @ 6:30 p.m.
At Kean we believe our MBA students need to learn international business practices to compete on a global scale. Our MBA graduates work as leaders in all sectors of business around the globe, from major international corporations to smaller companies and government entities. Our advanced degree enables you to be fully prepared for the CPA exam in New Jersey, even if your undergraduate degree was not in a business-related subject.
Forensic Psychology (M.A.), November 3, 2021 @ 6:30 p.m.
Forensic psychology is designed for students interested in pursuing doctoral training in psychology and/or law; master’s-level forensic jobs (e.g., in juvenile/adult court clinics, correctional settings, law enforcement research departments or forensic psychiatric settings); and those who are currently working or plan to work in a variety of law enforcement positions (e.g., police, corrections, federal law enforcement or governmental agencies). You will study psychology of criminal behavior; advanced abnormal psychology; personality and behavioral assessment; and more.
Social Work (MSW), November 8, 2021 @ 6:30 p.m.
The Master of Social Work program prepares students to become knowledgeable, well-informed citizens who are committed to the principles of multiculturalism and to the tenet of social and economic justice. It emphasizes fieldwork and personal connections between students and faculty members, creating a community of like-minded people dedicated to helping others and being catalysts of change, whether it be locally or across the globe.
Speech-Language Pathology (SLDP, M.A., + Post Master's Cert), November 9, 2021 @ 6:30 p.m.
Speech-language pathologists help children and adults alike communicate so they can better connect with others and lead more fulfilling lives. During this session, faculty from the Doctor of Speech-Language Pathology (SLPD), Speech-Language Pathology (M.A.), and the Advanced Certificate in Bilingual Speech Language Pathology programs will be present to guide you on your path to a career in this growing field.
Early Childhood Education (M.A., Cert & Endorsement), November 10, 2021 @ 6:30 p.m.
At Kean, our students learn the skills they need to be successful leaders of educational programs serving young children and their families. The early childhood education master’s program prepares students to be instructional leaders who deliver a robust educational experience to their students in preschool through third grade (P-3), and prepare children for a life of learning. English Writing Studies (M.A.), November 15, 2021 @ 6:30 p.m.
At Kean, our 30-credit master's degree in English Writing Studies (M.A.) is tailored toward students who want to improve their writing skills to further their careers and those who want a greater understanding of the art and theory behind good writing to follow their own passions. Our program provides teachers with new strategies for teaching writing at all levels, along with coursework in writing for the workplace, grant writing and technical editing that are useful for the job market.
Fine Arts (M.A.), November 16, 2021 @ 6:30 p.m.
The Fine Arts program offers three options of advanced study for graduate students seeking the opportunity to work in a dynamic university setting with fellow artists and expert instructors; Teaching Certification, Studio, and Supervision Certification. Students are guided toward exploration, experimentation, mastering skills and techniques, and understanding the concepts and history that shape the artistic process.
Special Education & Literacy (M.A. + Certs), November 17, 2021 @ 6:30 p.m.
Special education teachers have the experience, skills and training needed to help knowledge blossom for all types of learners. At Kean, you will choose from three master's in special education programs — learning and behavioral disabilities, developmental disabilities, and applied behavioral analysis and autism spectrum disorder — as well as three post-master's certification programs. In each, you will plan, implement and assess instruction for students, considering their unique learning and behavioral needs.
Educational Leadership and Administration (Ed.D., M.A., + Certs), November 30, 2021 @ 6:30 p.m.
Kean offers three master's degrees and five certificates in Educational Administration that all focus on preparing visionary school leaders and transformational change agents to respond to shifts in the educational landscape while maintaining an accessible, personable environment. Kean's doctoral program in Educational Leadership prepares future administrators with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively lead school districts and educational organizations.
Public Administration (MPA), December 2, 2021 @ 6:30 p.m.
At Kean, we offer three different master's degrees in public administration that prepare graduates for managerial roles in government, health care and nonprofit sectors. Our students study fiscal policy, public law, strategic planning and other subjects that prepare them for middle- or senior-level positions as public administrators.
Nursing (MSN), December 6, 2021 @ 6:30 p.m.
Nurses play a leading role in an increasingly complex healthcare system. With growing demand from a diverse public, rising health care costs and diminished resources, nursing requires a changing set of skills and a new knowledge base that we provide through our graduate-level nursing programs at Kean. Kean graduates can be found working as practicing nurses in hospitals and other settings across the region.
School and Clinical Psychology (Psy.D. + Professional Diploma), December 8, 2021 @ 6:30 p.m.
At Kean, our Combined School and Clinical Psychology doctoral program (Psy.D.) prepares students for those roles, combining education and training across the two practice areas of school psychology and clinical psychology. The Professional Diploma in School Psychology prepares candidates as professional school psychologists to work in schools and other child service settings.
