Kean Online Virtual New Student Orientation
For accepted Kean Online students: join us for Virtual New Student Orientation (NSO): an engaging online experience designed to help you prepare for life as a Kean Cougar, meet your new online community, and begin your academic journey! The event is on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at 6 p.m.
During Virtual NSO, you’ll get the information and connections you need to start strong as an online student. Attendees will learn how to access your courses, assignments, materials, and important academic information. You will also have the opportunity to connect with our community and discover ways to engage with fellow students. Lastly, you'll explore the key resources, services, and support available specifically for Kean Online students.
Kean Information Session and Tour
Information Sessions for Freshmen and Transfer Students
Kean Information Session and Tour (KIST) is your opportunity to explore Kean University! During this event, we'll discuss Kean's academic offerings, review our application and financial aid options, and familiarize you with our robust campus life. In-person KISTs are two hours and include a 90-minute walking campus tour with our Student Ambassadors. Virtual KISTs last one hour and include a virtual tour. Accepted Graduate Information Session
Lock It In Thursday
Graduate Admissions invites all admitted students to an informal Post‑Admission Q&A designed to help you feel confident about what comes next. We’ll cover registration, reviewing your financial aid package, and planning for billing, all while answering your questions in a welcoming, small‑group setting.
Kean Jersey City Students: Roaring and Ready!
As Kean Jersey City students count down to Orientation, you're invited to join us online for our Roaring and Ready Virtual Pre-Orientation Series. These sessions are designed to help you start the semester with confidence by connecting you to the people, resources, and information you need before you step foot on campus. Student's may RSVP for each event individually based on their interest and needs:
August 5 - Unlocking Your Cougar Credentials: Apps, Accounts and Access: Learn how to navigate your student email, campus apps, portals, and digital tools so you're ready to stay connected and make the most of your college experience.
August 12 - Make It Make Cents: Your Guide to Financial Aid, Billing and Scholarships: Meet with Financial Aid Representatives to learn how to understand your financial aid award package, review your tuition bill, and explore scholarship and funding opportunities available to support your educational journey.
August 19 - Your Success Network: Advising, Academic Resources and Support: Discover the academic advising, learning resources, and support services available to help you navigate college successfully and achieve your goals.
Accepted International Student Virtual Session
Information Sessions
International students at Kean can choose from over 50 undergraduate degrees, more than 70 graduate programs and six doctoral degree programs. Small class sizes ensure that our students are able to make meaningful connections with our expert faculty. During this virtual event hosted by the Office of Admissions, you will learn important dates and application instructions to help guide you through the Admissions process. We'll discuss Kean's diverse and vibrant campus culture, as well as the services offered by the Center for International Studies - including their dedication to ensuring Kean students maintain F1/J1 status and successfully complete their degree.
