Kean University Scholarships & Assistantships

Merit-based scholarships for undergraduate students

A range of merit-based scholarships are offered for incoming undergraduate students, including international applicants. These awards are automatically considered as part of your application for admission—no separate scholarship application is required.

Graduate Assistantships for graduate students

A limited number of graduate and doctoral assistantships are offered each year to support students academically and professionally. These include Graduate Administrative Assistants (GAA), Graduate Research Assistants (GRA), and Graduate Teaching Assistants (GTA). Graduate Assistants contribute to the University’s teaching, research, and service missions while receiving financial support and gaining valuable hands-on experience to enhance their career prospects.

On-Campus Employment

As an F-1 visa holder, you have the opportunity to earn income while studying by working on campus for up to 20 hours per week during the academic year. This not only helps support your financial needs but also provides valuable work experience in a university setting.

External Scholarships & Loans for International Students

Considering exploring scholarships and loan opportunities available through international organizations, private foundations, and government-sponsored programs.
