International Students & Scholars
International Education provides opportunities to foreign students interested in earning college credits in the United States. We believe that the best way to enrich our community is not only by sending our students abroad, but also by welcoming the international community to our campuses in New Jersey.
All non immigrant visa holders (this includes F's and J's) regardless of NJ residency are charged out-of-state tuition and fees. To view a list of the fees, please visit Tuition and Fees.
The first step in the Kean University F-1 Student process is to apply to the Kean Admissions Office.
To learn more about the application process and required documentation, please visit our Admissions website.
Once students are accepted to Kean University, they can then begin the post-acceptance process.
As an admitted international student, you will be required to hold a student visa to study in the U.S. Upon acceptance to Kean, you must provide all immigration documents, along with your tuition deposit, before Kean University can issue your I-20 document which can be used to obtain your F-1 visa.
Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to receive guidance on your status including application forms for your F-1 or J-1 status.
*If you are interested in becoming an international scholar at Kean University please email us at email@example.com as well as your hosting academic department prior to obtaining an application for a DS-2019.
We continue to send important updates pertaining to your F-1/J-1 status via email as we receive guidance from SEVP (Student and Exchange Visitor Program), please make sure to continue checking your Kean University email.
