As of Fall 2026, our graduate programs are transitioning to Kean Online. All Kean Online classes are 15-week asynchronous instruction.
The hybrid courses will be transferred over the next 3 semesters.
Synchronous weeks: Live Zoom classes with instructor interaction
Asynchronous weeks: Flexible, self-paced learning with weekly deadlines
Kean University is proud to offer graduate-level training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), designed to prepare students to become Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA®s). Our programs meet the Behavior Analyst Certification Board’s (BACB) Pathway 2 coursework requirements for the BCBA® exam, beginning January 1, 2027.
Please Note: To be eligible to sit for the BCBA® exam, the BACB requires:
A qualifying master’s degree (check BACB.com for accepted degrees)
315 hours of specific coursework (7 classes Kean offers that meet BACB Pathway 2 coursework requirements)
Supervised fieldwork (minimum of 2,000 hours) - See BACB.com for more information
Kean provides coursework and, in the MA program, the degree. Certification is issued exclusively by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
About New Jersey Licensure (LBA)
As of September 2024, the New Jersey State Board of Applied Behavior Analyst Examiners is accepting applications for Licensed Behavior Analysts (LBA).
