What You Learn

Kean offers you the chance to study psychology through the lens that interests you.

  • Forensic psychology is designed for students interested in pursuing doctoral training in psychology and/or law. Successful graduates pursue careers in areas such as juvenile/adult court clinics, correctional settings, law enforcement or forensic psychiatric settings.
  • Marriage and Family Therapy is a professional training program designed to prepare students for licensure as a marriage and family therapist in New Jersey. The program includes a two-term internship, and includes a focus on understanding the varied religious, ethnic, cultural and national characteristics of marriage and family therapists' clientele.
  • Human Behavior and Organizational Psychology is designed for students pursuing careers in the helping professions who wish to upgrade their competence, or pursue careers in the behavioral sciences. This master's program relates to community, agency, personnel and organizational work, as well as law enforcement, human resources, social services and more.

Externships

Students have the opportunity to participate in practica and externships in different settings. These experiences provide valuable opportunities for hands-on application of skills learned in class.
