Social Work, BSW
Make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and communities while advancing social justice with Kean’s Bachelor of Social Work (BSW). This degree prepares students for generalist practice with individuals, families, groups, organizations and communities.
The program incorporates the person-in-environment framework, an approach that examines how social, cultural and environmental factors shape individual experiences and well-being. Students develop the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to support diverse populations, advocate for societal change and promote human well-being across a range of professional settings.
Graduates may pursue social work certification in New Jersey and are well positioned to continue into advanced Master of Social Work (MSW) programs.
Students develop practical skills to support families, individuals and communities.
