Kean University

Holly Evans has enjoyed a multiple-faceted career in dance as a performer, choreographer, teacher, and administrator and is currently on the Dance Faculty at Pace University NYC in the Commercial Dance BFA Program and Kean University in NJ teaching ballet and dance styles.  Holly was a Radio City Rockette for 10 years, serving as assistant choreographer to Linda Haberman, as well as a dance captain and swing.  She was a lead teacher and choreographer for the Rockette Experience and Rockette Summer Intensives. Holly also performed for several regional ballet, modern and musical theater companies as well as significant award shows and benefits. 

As an educator, Holly served on the dance faculty of Wagner College and the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA).  She was on the ballet faculty for the Pennsylvania Governor's School for the Arts for many years and served as the Ballet Mistress for the esteemed St. Paul's School in New Hampshire.  In addition, she has extensive experience in public and private school dance education and has been a master class teacher and choreographer at many universities, schools, and summer programs across the country.  As an arts administrator, Holly is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Arts and Entertainment Management at Pace University.  She held the position of managing director of Lydia Johnson Dance and was the company manager for RIOULT, NYC.  Holly holds a BA degree from Butler University in Dance Pedagogy and a Certificate in Arts Administration from New York University.

Teaching Philosophy

I strive to teach and inspire dancers to be lifelong supports and lovers of the art form. My classes focus on proper alignment and technique and connect students to the historical lineage of the movements they learn in class. I believe in a positive work environment and individual growth.
