Faculty Advising

A Faculty Advisor at Kean University is a professor, lecturer or instructor within an academic department who provides specialized guidance to students in their academic major. Faculty advisors assist with major-specific advisement, research opportunities, internships, and career pathways. They offer mentorship, insight into advanced coursework, and advice on graduate school and professional development. Faculty advisors play a crucial role in helping students align their academic goals with career aspirations while ensuring they meet the requirements of their degree program.

For most undergraduate students, Faculty Advisors are assigned to students who have completed 60 credits and earned junior status.
