Environmental Justice
This interdisciplinary 15-credit minor explores the complex challenges, social movements, and areas of contestation related to environmental justice. Students engage with a curated selection of courses designed to foster critical thinking, develop analytical and communication skills, and encourage solution-driven approaches to achieving equitable environmental outcomes. Topics include global issues such as addressing disparities in toxic waste disposal, protecting ecological resources, ensuring water and air quality, and mitigating climate change, with an emphasis on enhancing the fair distribution of environmental benefits and burdens.
