When Tymere Briggs-Perkins joined the Kean University football team as a freshman, the defensive lineman chose No. 90 for his team jersey, honoring his mother’s birthday on February 9.
One small recruit is providing a big dose of inspiration to the Kean University football team, on and off the field. Kean Athletics partnered with Team Impact, a nonprofit that pairs kids with serious illness and disability with college sports teams, to draft the team’s #1 recruit, Ty Weinglass.
Kean has made improvements to many of its athletic facilities, including Harwood Arena, the track at Alumni Stadium, baseball and softball fields and more, and student-athletes and coaches say it's helping Kean’s sports teams excel.
