Kean University to Shift to Remote Operations on Sunday, October 12

Kean University will shift to remote operations on Sunday, October 12, due to the State of Emergency declared across New Jersey in response to the forecasted nor’easter storm. All classes scheduled for Sunday on New Jersey campuses will move to remote instruction, and all in-person activities are canceled.

Only essential personnel should report to work as required. Employees with questions should contact their supervisors for guidance. Keanu’s Kitchen on the Union campus will remain open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday to serve residential students.

National Portfolio Days

Kean University is proud to serve as a host for a National Portfolio Day in-person event on Sunday, September 14, 2025. You'll have the opportunity to meet with counselors, admission team members, and faculty from accredited art and design schools from across the world for free portfolio reviews.

How to prepare

Meet Kean University’s Michael Graves College at the upcoming National Portfolio Days, scheduled throughout the United States at various art schools and colleges as well as virtually. Portfolio days are specifically for prospective first-year and transfer students to receive feedback on portfolios.

All virtual and in-person events require advance registration. Register by creating an account through the National Portfolio Day Association event page. Once you have completed the online registration form, you’ll be able to RSVP for virtual and/or in-person events. See below for Kean’s travel schedule and choose the event that best suits your schedule and location.

Please plan to show your pieces of original work. No admissions decisions are made at National Portfolio Day events.
