Getting Around
Kean Transportation provides free reliable transportation to support mobility and access through location loop services at both Kean Union and Kean Jersey City locations. We also provide shuttle services connecting our two main locations with the Kean Union - Kean Jersey City Transfer Shuttle. All shuttles for this service are wheelchair accessible.

- Stops: Kean Hall lot → Hennings Hall → Wilkins Theater → NAAB
- Route MCX Express:
- Stops: Kean Hall lot → Hennings Hall → Wilkins Theater

- Liberty Hall / East Campus Corridor
- Route ECL Local:
- Stops: Wilkins Theater → East Campus Building → East Campus lower lot → STEM/LHAC → Hynes Hall → Faculty Housing

Kean Union - Kean Jersey City Transfer Shuttle:
- Kean Union: Vaughn Eames Parking Lot, in front of the security booth.
- Kean Jersey City: In front of Hepburn Hall near NJ Transit bus stop.
Kean Jersey City Loop:
- Stops: Professional Studies Parking (Lot 4) → JMAC & VAB → Light Rail at West Side Avenue Station → West Campus Village
Important Notice:
Shuttles are the priority. Rideshare vouchers are a last resort option. The Kean University inter-campus shuttle service is the primary and preferred mode of transportation between Kean Union and Kean Jersey City. Students, faculty, and staff are expected to plan their schedules around shuttle availability before requesting rideshare voucher access. Rideshare vouchers will only be considered when the shuttle is not a viable option for the participant’s specific travel need and the request demonstrates that no reasonable shuttle-based option is available.
