The Spring 2021 semester began on January 19 with remote instruction for all courses. On March 1, face-to-face or hybrid instruction began for about 20 percent of courses. The University will not have a Spring Break in 2021; classes will continue uninterrupted until the semester ends on Wednesday, May 5, a week earlier than previously scheduled.

Below are listed several important academic resources for students.

Health & Safety

The University’s top priority is to safeguard the health and safety of the campus community. All faculty, staff and students must take steps to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, including additional safety protocols for when visitors, vendors and/or contractors are on campus. Read Kean's visitor policy here.

All employees and students are REQUIRED to complete a health screening using the CampusClear mobile app every day that they are on campus. Employees and students should download the mobile app from the App Store or Google Play before they return to campus and complete it each day. The survey can also be accessed online.

Anyone who is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 should seek immediate medical attention and not return to campus until they are cleared by a healthcare provider.

There are several noticeable physical changes to campus, including plexiglass dividers and designated spots for distancing while waiting in lines. Signage will be posted throughout the campus to remind the community of health protocols. The University has also established enhanced cleaning, sanitation and disinfecting protocols.

Review the listings below for health and safety resources, including how to get in touch with Student Health Services and the Kean Counseling Center.

COVID-19 Reporting Tool

If you are a student or have knowledge of a student who is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, is currently being tested or has tested positive for COVID-19, fill out this Student Reporting Tool. All reports will be kept confidential.

Read Kean's visitor policy here.
