Preparing the Next Generation of Public Servants and Community Leaders: The John S. Watson Institute for Urban Policy and Research at Kean University is committed to providing students with meaningful opportunities to engage in public policy, community engagement, research, leadership development, and real-world problem solving. Through hands-on learning experiences, students work alongside faculty, staff, policymakers, researchers, nonprofit organizations, and community leaders to address issues impacting urban communities across New Jersey.
