Graduate Certificate Non-Profit and Philanthropic Management

This graduate certificate is for students who work in or want to work for nonprofit or civil society organizations. It provides an understanding of why and how nonprofits meet social needs and advance social innovations. This certificate gives graduates the skills to lead and sustain a nonprofit, strategically build capacity and resilience, fundraise and advocate for causes, manage and evaluate grants and programs, and communicate impact to diverse stakeholders.

Our faculty are recognized experts in the field.  They serve on academic and nonprofit boards, edit a book series on philanthropy and nonprofits, and edit a journal on nonprofit education. Kean University is an institutional member of NACC (Nonprofit Academic Centers Council).  NACC is an international membership association comprised of accredited programs focused on the study of nonprofit/nongovernmental organizations, voluntary action, and/or philanthropy.

The Nonprofit Certificate requires completion of four courses for a total of 12 credits. Hybrid courses are available!
