Teaching Philosophy

 

I believe that students are entitled to quality instruction in an active and stimulating learning environment. In my classes I emphasize the application of critical thinking skills to foster deep learning, and the use of collaborative learning skills to facilitate “real-world” problem solving. I utilize a variety of teaching methods to make the subject material as accessible as possible and provide opportunities for students to discover new ways of engaging scientific topics.
