Kean University to Shift to Remote Operations on Sunday, October 12

Kean University will shift to remote operations on Sunday, October 12, due to the State of Emergency declared across New Jersey in response to the forecasted nor’easter storm. All classes scheduled for Sunday on New Jersey campuses will move to remote instruction, and all in-person activities are canceled.

Only essential personnel should report to work as required. Employees with questions should contact their supervisors for guidance. Keanu’s Kitchen on the Union campus will remain open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday to serve residential students.

An accomplished author, professor, and dean, Dr. Gray leads pioneering research and practice-based initiatives to train K–12 educators, administrators, and the next generation of education faculty in both the United States and China. She is also a noted expert in the accreditation of schools and colleges of education, offering strategic insight into quality assurance and continuous improvement in educator preparation.

A sought-after public speaker, Dr. Gray has presented nationally and internationally on topics ranging from literacy and school transformation to global teacher preparation. Her keynote address, The Moral Imperative: The Need for Interventions, delivered in Washington, D.C. for the Alliance for Excellent Education, highlighted the impact of targeted innovations on student engagement and achievement. Her leadership has consistently prioritized equity, innovation, and inclusive excellence.

Dr. Gray earned her Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) from Monmouth University in the United States.
