Each student's college journey is unique, and so is each student's definition of success. Despite these differences, the Office of Student Success and Retention (OSS&R) is here to support every Kean student, every step of the way.
OSS&R is dedicated to providing guidance and support to the Kean University student population as they embark on their journey toward degree completion. Using a holistic approach, OSS&R is proactive in reaching out to students in an attempt to direct and assist them toward goal attainment. We work closely with all departments and divisions on campus to connect students to a network of resources that will promote academic and social success with the ultimate goal of a timely graduation.
In addition, the office works specifically with students who are not meeting academic standards; students who are interested in re-enrolling at Kean University, either via readmission or reinstatement; and students who are at risk of failing courses and withdrawing from the university. OSS&R has experienced tremendous success in the programs that it has developed for these specific student populations, such as the Step-It-Up program.
