Entrance and Exit Loan Counseling
All students who receive loans are required to complete entrance counseling before any funds may be disbursed. This can be done online at https://studentloans.gov for federal Direct Stafford loans. Students who are awarded a Perkins Loan will receive an Entrance Interview form in the mail from the University that must be completed and returned to the Office of Financial Aid.
When student loan borrowers are no longer attending school at least half-time, they are required to complete exit counseling. This can be done online at https://studentloans.gov. Students who do not comply with this requirement will be placed on a financial aid hold restricting the student from receiving grades, transcripts and/or diplomas. The Perkins Loan Exit Interview needs to be done at the Student Accounting Office.
If you are a student borrowing for the first time, you also must complete the Master Promissory Note online.
