Admission Requirements

In addition to the University’s admission requirements:

• Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
• Cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 (lower GPAs will be considered based on strength of overall application)
• Official transcripts from all institutions attended
• Two letters of recommendation (may be waived for current Kean students)
• Personal statement
• Additional written response for applicants wishing to be considered for financial support from the department.
  1. Do you have any research or internship experience (including class or term projects)?
  2. Briefly describe your research experience and outcomes. (300 words max)
  3. What are your research interests, and how will this program help you develop a project aligned with them? (300 words max)

• Official TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo score reports (for applicants whose native language is not English)
