  • Promote and maintain healthy lifestyles from a local and global perspective and across a range of demographics
  • Explore ways to support the inclusion of individuals with disabilities in all aspects of recreation, play and sports
  • Develop professional skills and gain real-world experience through fieldwork
  • Prepare for certification as a park and recreation professional, New Jersey Recreation Administrator and Recreation Supervisor, or special events professional

You can strengthen your specialization with a minor in athletic coaching, gerontology or health. You can also complete your degree at Kean Ocean in Toms River.

B.A. in Recreation Administration | Commercial Recreation

This program option focuses on recreation planning, facility operations, business management and marketing.

B.A. in Recreation Administration | Community Recreation

In this program, emphasis is placed on leadership, program planning, budgeting, managerial techniques and environmental awareness.

Minor in Gerontology

This program helps students understand the aging experience and major trends and issues related to aging across cultures.
