Biography

Erell Germia, egermia@kean.edu, is an Assistant Professor in the Hennings College of Science, Mathematics, and Technology at Kean University. She received her Doctor of Philosophy degree in Mathematics Education from Montclair State University. Erell’s research interests include studying how students learn mathematics concepts such as geometry and algebra; quantitative reasoning; and utilizing technology to support mathematical understanding. As a teacher-researcher, Erell is actively looking for better ways to teach mathematics while utilizing the dynamic features of computer technology and sharing these ideas with mathematics teachers at elementary to college levels, locally and internationally.
