Why is Voting Important?
Voting shapes local, state, and national policies. By participating, you influence decisions on education, healthcare, and more. Kean's Voting Squad empowers students to make their voices heard, ensuring information and access to making an effective change.
How Can I Register to Vote?
Check Eligibility: You must be a US citizen, 18 years or older by Election Day, and meet NJ residency requirements.
Register Online: Visit the NJ Voter Information Portal or check out resources from National Voter Registration Day.
In-Person: Attend Voting Squad events during the Fall semester on the Kean Union Campus.
Deadline: Register 21 days before Election Day.
What Are My Voting Options?
In-Person: Vote at your polling location on Election Day.
Mail-In Voting: Request a ballot through your county clerk.
Early Voting: Check NJ's early voting dates and locations. Contact Kean's Voting Squad by emailing humanrights@kean.edu for assistance.
What If I Cannot Vote?
You can still engage in civic life! Here is how:
Educate Others: Share nonpartisan voting information at works with the Voting Squad!
Volunteer: Help with voter registration drives or events like Pizza to the Polls and ALL IN Democracy.
Advocate: Join Student Government Association (SGA) or attend forums to voice your views on key issues.
Support Access: Assist with transportation or distribute voting resources at campus events.
Build Community: Connect with peers through Voting Squad initiatives to inspire action.

Kean Staff/Faculty
1. How do I inquire about having Voting Squad members present information to my class(es)?
-You may fill out our Voting Squad Presentation Interest Form, and our Captain of Communication will get in touch with you. This form will become available in mid-June.
2. What if I would like to have Voter material to share with my students?
-The Voting Squad has flyers with viable information that may be shared, please specify this in our Interest Form if you would like materials to be handed out during the presentation.
3. Can my students inquire about joining the Voting Squad?
-Absolutely! They may email humanrights@kean.edu to see if there are available positions.
